Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU/Respiratory Care Unit position requiring FL or compact license and trauma/neuro critical care experience.

Details

  • Work in the Respiratory Care Unit, a high acuity stepdown ICU
  • Care for acute and chronically ill patients requiring ventilator support
  • Patient ratio of 3:1, with a maximum of 4:1 depending on staffing
  • Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • Every other weekend (EOW) required
  • Floating required as needed
  • Holiday coverage required as needed
  • Travel pairs will not be considered

Requirements

  • Active FL or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications via AHA required
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum 3 years recent critical care experience required
  • Trauma and neuro experience required
  • Degree required from an accredited school or FBON-approved institution with 2 years recent consecutive acute care experience in a US hospital within the past 24 months
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Cerner experience preferred
  • Charge RN, SICU, MICU, trauma, and stroke experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to high acuity patients requiring ventilator support in a stepdown ICU setting
  • Facility is a smoke-free environment
  • Local candidates within a 60-mile radius will be considered at a lower pay rate
  • Previous permanent employees must be separated from the facility for 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Candidates must pass a basic arrhythmia/EKG assessment as part of clinical requirements for critical care areas
