Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU/Telemetry

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for a position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will evaluate assigned patients, plan, implement, and document nursing care, while assisting physicians during examinations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and monitor assigned patients, ensuring appropriate nursing care.
• Assist physicians during examinations and various medical procedures.
• Perform various patient tests and administer medications in accordance with nursing scope of practice.
• Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Utilize experience and judgment to plan and accomplish nursing goals.
• Adapt to a variety of tasks with a high degree of creativity and flexibility.
• Comfortably float between departments and multiple locations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• A minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a relevant clinical setting.
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) is mandatory.
• Ability to manage cardiac drips and familiarity with TAVR and Watchman mitral clips is essential.
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; a Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Day shift, 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a requirement to work 6 weekend shifts over a 6-week schedule.
• Patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 6:1.
• Scrub colors are flexible.
