Travel Nursing Job Details

• Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Nursing
• Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680–$1,770
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
• Scheduling: Straight nights or a 50/50 day-night rotation
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Weekend Commitment: Three weekend shifts within a four-week period
• Unit: 24-bed ICU with typical patient ratios of 1:2; higher-acuity assignments may include 1:1 care
• Documentation: EPIC
• Floating: PCU or sitter assignments within the inpatient setting may be required
• Dress Code: Caribbean blue scrubs

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience; strong candidates with at least 1 year of ICU experience may be considered
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Demonstrated experience caring for critically ill patients and managing complex clinical situations
• Clinical experience with ventilators, vasopressors, arterial lines, restraints, and other core ICU technologies and interventions
• Strong communication skills, a team-oriented approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in a 24-bed intensive care unit
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and respond promptly to clinical needs
• Manage patients requiring ventilatory support, vasopressors, arterial lines, and other advanced ICU therapies
• Assist with or perform rapid sequence intubations, central line placement, bronchoscopy, arterial line placement, and chest tube placement according to scope of practice and unit protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in EPIC
• Support safe patient transitions and provide care during PCU or sitter assignments when floating is needed
• Contribute to a positive, outgoing, and team-focused intensive care unit culture
