Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical ICU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Medical-Surgical ICU. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high patient acuity.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical-Surgical ICU setting.
• Manage multiple patients and maintain effective communication with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, interpreting relevant data to make clinical decisions.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and health management.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with various teams for holistic patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting preferred.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS.
• Experience with Epic charting preferred.
