ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Mississippi
• At least 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and rotating weekends
• Travel nurse assignment eligibility requiring a permanent residence at least 50 miles from the worksite

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit
• Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and respond promptly to clinical needs
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor vital signs, hemodynamic status, laboratory results, and other critical care indicators
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Operate and monitor specialized ICU equipment in accordance with established procedures
• Educate patients and families while providing compassionate support during complex medical situations
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
