Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a mixed-acuity unit requiring 2 years of ICU experience and a SC or compact RN license.

Details

• 16-bed mixed-acuity ICU servicing Critical Care, Stepdown, and Cardiac Telemetry patients
• Patient ratios ranging from 1:2 to 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30
• 13-week assignment length
• Floating to other qualified units or campuses required based on census needs

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• CCRN certification preferred
• 2 years of ICU experience required
• 1+ years of recent experience in a similar unit will be considered
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration/monitoring required
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
• 1 year minimum experience with Epic EMR required
• Care of ventilated patient experience preferred

Additional Information

• Work alongside skilled nurses, patient support technicians, and monitor technicians to deliver patient-centered care across varying acuity levels
• Role requires flexibility to manage critical care, stepdown, and telemetry patients
• Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Must reside more than 100 miles from any Prisma Health facility to be eligible, with reduced eligibility criteria for select specialties within 50-99.9 miles of the contracted or flagship facility
