Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• 16-bed mixed-acuity ICU servicing Critical Care, Stepdown, and Cardiac Telemetry patients
• Patient ratios vary from 1:2 to 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Works alongside patient support technicians and monitor technicians
• Floating to other units/campuses required based on census needs, limited to qualified competencies

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• 1+ years of recent ICU experience considered for candidacy
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration/monitoring required
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
• Care of ventilated patient experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required

Additional Information

• Provide patient-centered care across three levels of acuity: critical care, stepdown, and cardiac telemetry
• Requires flexibility to manage varying patient needs in a fast-paced ICU setting
• Orientation held every Monday, with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and training modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from any Prisma Health facility to be eligible, with reduced eligibility considerations for 90-99.9 miles
• Night shift travelers in Adult ICU must live 50+ miles from the relevant flagship hospital (Prisma Richland or Prisma Greenville) for eligibility
• Travelers cannot begin a 4th consecutive contract; conversion to employee status or a six-month break is required after three consecutive contracts
