Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a Level II Trauma mixed ICU on night shift (7P-7A), requiring at least 1 year of recent ICU experience.

Details

• Level II Trauma Center general mixed ICU with 38 beds, treating medical, surgical, cardiac and neurosurgery patients, including post-operative open-heart cases
• Unit utilizes VV/VA ECMO, balloon pump, Impella, and CRRT
• Staffing includes 16-18 staff per shift with 1 charge nurse on both day and night shifts
• Patient ratios range from 2:1 to 1:1 depending on acuity
• Equipment includes Stryker beds, Avea ventilators, GE monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Maquet IABP, Vigilance II monitors, Impella, Maquet Cardiohelp and Medtronic Vital Flow ECMO, and NICOM
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license, CO or Compact
• Minimum 1 year of current ICU hospital experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Preferred: prior Meditech experience
• Preferred: CVICU/CTICU experience with post-operative open-heart patients
• Must perform bedside procedures such as bronchoscopies, GI scopes, chest tube insertions, and arterial and central line insertions
• Comfortable with airway care and frequent drip titrations
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
