Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU/Telemetry

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Telemetry. The ideal candidate will evaluate assigned patients, develop nursing care plans, implement care procedures, and document all nursing activities. This role will involve assisting physicians during examinations and procedures, performing a variety of patient tests, and administering medications within the scope of nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient conditions and create individualized care plans.
• Implement and document nursing care per established protocols.
• Assist physicians during medical examinations and procedures.
• Conduct various patient tests and administer medications.
• Promote patient independence by setting care goals and educating patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Utilize experience and judgment to achieve patient care objectives.
• Float between units and assist in multiple locations as required.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a relevant setting.
• Familiarity with standard practices and procedures in PCU and Telemetry.
• Previous experience with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) is required.

Additional Information

This position requires working night shifts, with a commitment to weekend shifts every six weeks. The nurse-patient ratio is expected to be 6:1, and candidates must be comfortable managing cardiac drips and caring for patients with devices such as TAVRs and Watchman devices.
