Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with critical care experience for a 13-week travel assignment requiring a KS or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 25-bed Intensive Care Unit within the main hospital building
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Unit staffed with charge nurse and unit secretary from 7a-11p, no tech support
• Uses Alaris pumps and GE monitors
• Documentation via MediTech
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Self-scheduling with a requirement to work every 3rd weekend
• Travelers and agency staff float first, primarily to telemetry to take patients, or serve as a helper/resource in other areas
• Unit performs open heart recovery, bedside cardioversions, bronchoscopy, CRRT, and Impella procedures

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience required
• Strong communication skills and adaptability to change required
• Neuro and trauma experience a plus
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required
