Job Requirements

• Active RN license eligible to work in North Carolina
• At least 1 year of recent ICU experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIH certification required
• CPI, HWC, or MAB training required
• Comfortable caring for high-acuity patients with respiratory failure and other critical care needs
• Ability to float as needed within the healthcare facility
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor patient status, assess changes, and respond quickly to urgent clinical needs
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with care plans and provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support optimal outcomes
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in the EHR
• Provide compassionate care to patients of all ages in a high-acuity critical care setting
• Support safe unit operations, including float coverage when needed
