Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU float pool position requiring 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the ICU of a hospital environment as part of a float pool
• Float requirement to multiple ICUs including CIVCU, NICU, SICU, MICU, TICU, and Burn ICU as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday coverage required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active LA RN license or Compact RN license required at time of consideration (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required (unit does not accept first-time travelers)
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Preferred certifications: CPI and CCRN
• Epic charting system experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• At least two recent manager references required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing across multiple ICU specialties as part of a float pool team
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Strict maximum of 5 days RTO
• Candidates must reside within a 75-mile radius to qualify for the local rate
• Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at the local rate regardless of specialty
• Previous permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for travel positions
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
