ICU Travel Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820–$1,910
• Location: Wichita Falls, Texas

• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, ending January 18, 2027
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
• Schedule Options: 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour shifts; typically 36 hours per week
• Biweekly Scheduling: Scheduled for 84 hours every two weeks with a 72-hour guarantee
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Position Type: On-site travel nursing assignment

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with an active license in hand before the start date
• At least 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Experience with electronic charting; Epic experience required or strongly preferred
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred
• NIHSS and Nursys documentation required during submission, as applicable
• Ability to float to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), overflow, and emergency department (ED) hold assignments as needed
• Ability to care for up to 4 patients when assigned to overflow or ED hold areas

ICU Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and initiate timely interventions
• Administer medications and treatments while following established patient safety and clinical protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate individualized treatment plans
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in Epic or the designated electronic medical record
• Float to the PCU, overflow areas, and ED hold as operational needs require
• Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-focused care environment throughout each 12-hour shift
