Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a float pool position requiring NC or compact RN license and at least one year of nursing experience.

Details

• Float pool role covering all ICU units at a medical center, including Surgical, Neuro, Medicine, Cardiac, Cardiovascular, and Burn Center
• Patient ratios generally 1:1 to 1:3 depending on unit acuity
• May also float to stepdown units with 1:3 ratios as needed
• Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:00am
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license required
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred

Additional Information

• Delivers competent nursing care consistent with professional standards across multiple ICU specialties
• Performs bedside point of care testing and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams on plans of care
• Participates in discharge planning, patient education, and performance improvement activities
• Holiday coverage required on an every-other-holiday basis
