• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Floating: May float within competency based on census and patient acuity, including IMCU

Job Requirements

• Active Indiana RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Recent Epic charting experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIHSS and PALS certifications required
• Omnicell experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Ability to care for complex, high-acuity patients in a critical care setting
• Must be comfortable floating within scope and competency
• Must be able to complete onboarding, labs, and clinical testing within required timelines

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU
• Monitor hemodynamic status and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Manage ventilated patients, vasoactive drips, cardiac drips, and advanced monitoring equipment
• Support procedures such as central line care, arterial line management, chest tube care, and PICC-related tasks
• Care for patients with diagnoses including sepsis, CHF, MI, respiratory failure, DKA/CVA, shock, and cardiac arrest
• Document accurately in Epic and follow infection prevention, safety, and quality standards
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Float to IMCU or other compatible units as needed within competency
