Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced MICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

• MICU unit setting caring for critically ill medical patients
• Assignments made according to patient acuity and staff skill level
• Uses ICU equipment including ventilators, NxStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitors
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• Rotating weekend shifts required
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week assignment on 7P-7A night shift
• Floating required as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact); temporary licenses not accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of MICU/MSICU experience required
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Experience with central line placements, bedside procedures such as thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, intubations, and other ICU procedures
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive ICU nursing care including complex bedside procedures
• Royal blue scrubs required for RNs
• Professional grooming standards apply, including natural nails, neatly trimmed facial hair, and covered tattoos where feasible
• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• Company-wide attendance policy applies
