The ideal candidate will have extensive nursing knowledge and experience, specifically in critical care settings. This position requires clinical expertise and the ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team to ensure the best patient outcomes. Location This position is based in a facility located in City, State . Responsibilities Assess, implement, and evaluate the care needed by assigned patients under the direction of licensed physicians. Utilize the nursing process to collaborate with patients, their family members/significant others, and professional peers. Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to established standards and policies. Float to various departments including all ICUs, step-down units, intermediate care units (IMCU), and emergency departments as needed. Participate in orientation for floating to Women’s and Family departments, focusing on specialized patient care. Ensure safe nurse-to-patient ratios, which will not exceed 1:3 in any assigned unit. Be available to work surrounding holidays and potential mid-shift adjustments based on patient needs. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required). Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred). Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an ICU setting (No new graduates). Current and active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License (Required). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required). Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (Required). National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (Required). Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (Preferred). Additional Information Travelers are expected to adhere to the Return to Office (RTO) expectations, with a limit of 5 consecutive days, and may require flexibility in their work schedule.
