Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring 2 years of critical care experience and multiple advanced certifications.

Details

• Work in the ICU/CCU of a hospital environment
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:00-06:00)
• Required to work Labor Day and rotate weekends
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Uses Meditech Expanse EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN state or compact) required in-hand prior to start
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS required
• CCRN, CMSRN, or RN-BC certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Meditech charting experience strongly preferred
• Community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients preferred
• Experience with CRRT/CVVHD and renal transplant management preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including medical, surgical, neuro, and burn populations
• Manage complex cases involving multisystem organ dysfunction, dysrhythmias, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous sedation, and emergency medications
• Support neurological patients including stroke, TBI, EVD, and ICP monitoring
• Assist with GI, liver, and pancreas transplant patient care as needed
• Accepts local candidates within an 80-mile radius at the local rate
• Call-outs required if absence exceeds one week
• First-time travelers considered depending on experience level
• Availability for holiday coverage should be indicated at time of consideration
