Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and multiple critical care certifications.

Details

• Work in the ICU/CCU of a hospital environment
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:00-06:00)
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Required to work Labor Day and rotate weekends
• Floating within scope required if there is a facility need
• Uses Meditech Expanse EMR

Requirements

• : or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• CCRN, CMSRN, or RN-BC preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Meditech charting experience strongly preferred
• Community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing across medical, neuro, and surgical ICU settings including burn and thermoregulation cases
• Skills include IV therapy, arterial line management, central and PICC line care, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory failure care
• Familiarity with CRRT/CVVHD, renal transplant care, and acute kidney injury management preferred
• Neurological care skills including ICP monitoring, EVD, and stroke management
• Cardiovascular skills including titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG interpretation
• First-time travelers considered depending on experience level
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within an 80-mile radius
• Pending state licenses are not accepted; license must be in-hand prior to start
• Call-offs restricted to more than one week's notice
• Indicate holiday availability at time of consideration
• Completion of facility training modules required for clearance prior to start and annually
