ICU Registered Nurse - 3x12 Hour Shifts

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 Hour Day Shifts (07:00 - 19:30); Every Other Weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role involves managing critical patients with various diagnoses and ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop care plans for ICU patients.
• Monitor and manage patients with acute conditions, including respiratory failure, sepsis, and cardiac arrest.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed, including IVs and blood products.
• Perform specialized procedures such as arterial line management and chest tube insertion/removal.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Compliance with infection prevention and isolation protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care nursing experience.
• Active RN license in Maryland or Compact state.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
