ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 20-week contract position starting on October 12, 2026.

Schedule

Shift: 3x12 Nights from 19:00 to 07:30. Every 3rd weekend is required.

Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse will provide critical care to patients experiencing severe health issues, including stroke, renal failure, respiratory failure, and post-cardiac arrest situations. The RN will play a vital role in monitoring patients, administering medications, and working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to address complex medical needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with chest tube insertion and removal
• Administer blood products and manage ventilated patients
• Provide care for patients undergoing CRRT and other critical procedures
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and monitor for dysrhythmias
• Manage IVs and perform central line care/management
• Implement emergency medication protocols and hypothermia treatment
• Collaborate with healthcare teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and social services

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in MD or Compact license
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU RN experience
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required
• Experience with EPIC charting preferred
