Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Experience with ICU or stepdown-level patient care preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
• Comfortable using MEDITECH or similar electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to ICU patients with a focus on safety, comfort, and clinical outcomes
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, vital signs, and patient status changes
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and adjust care plans
• Support patients with a variety of acute medical conditions, including CHF, sepsis, and lower-acuity ICU cases
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns as needed
• Work as a dependable team member in a unit where the charge nurse also takes patients
