ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Ohio
• Required critical care nursing credentials and license verification
• Ability to provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients
• Successful completion of required skills validation, competency assessment, background screening, and occupational health clearances
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills

ICU Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU)
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and respond promptly to clinical needs
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and efficiently
• Educate patients and families while supporting continuity of care and safe transitions
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and compassionate patient-centered care
