Job Details

• Position: Travel ICU Registered Nurse (ICU RN / Critical Care RN)
• Setting: Intensive Care Unit (Critical Care)
• Location: Hagerstown, MD
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Schedule: Every other weekend; occasional holidays may be required
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Float Requirement: May float within scope to IMC
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010

Job Requirements

• 3 years of ICU or critical care experience preferred; candidates with 2+ years and strong ICU experience may be considered
• Previous travel nurse experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong background caring for trauma, cardiovascular, stroke, and neuro patients
• Experience with high-acuity ICU equipment and interventions preferred
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-quality bedside care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in the ICU
• Monitor and manage complex conditions including stroke, neuro, trauma, and cardiovascular diagnoses
• Safely administer and titrate vasoactive drips, cardiac drips, sedation, and other ICU therapies as ordered
• Manage ventilated patients and perform advanced respiratory care interventions
• Support invasive monitoring and specialized equipment use, including CRRT, IABP, and EVDs
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, positive patient outcomes
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and care plans in Epic
• Maintain readiness to float within scope based on unit needs
