• Float Requirement: May float within scope to Intermediate Care (IMC)
• Charting System: Epic required
• Orientation: 24 hours

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred; strong experience may be considered
• Previous travel nurse experience required
• Active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience managing high-acuity cardiac, neuro, stroke, trauma, and medical-surgical patients
• Ability to work day shifts, weekends, and occasional holidays as needed
• Comfortable floating within scope to Intermediate Care
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill adult patients in a busy ICU setting
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic status, dysrhythmias, and changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and manage advanced therapies such as ventilators, CRRT, vasoactive drips, and sedation protocols
• Care for patients requiring complex interventions including arterial lines, central lines, IABP support, and EVD management
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support safe, coordinated patient care
• Document accurately and efficiently in Epic
• Support patient and family education while maintaining a compassionate, professional bedside presence
• Adapt to changing unit needs and float within scope when necessary
