Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Intensive Care Unit position offering a 13-week assignment with weekend and holiday rotation, open to candidates with no prior ICU experience required.

Details

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
• 13-week contract assignment
• First shift schedule, 3x12 DAY 12 shifts, 7a-7p
• 36 hours per week with weekend and holiday rotation required

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• Current BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings in accordance with RN scope of practice and hospital policies
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and individualized treatment planning
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and pressure ulcer prevention
• Promote a positive, healing environment through collaborative teamwork and effective communication
