This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating shifts between 07:00 - 19:00 and 19:00 - 07:00 with every other weekend. Rotating schedule typically occurs every 6 weeks.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Neuro/Trauma Critical Care team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized nursing care for critically ill patients in a high-level, technologically advanced environment. This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive nursing care to post-trauma and neurosurgery patients.
• Monitor patient vitals and manage critical care equipment.
• Administer medications and patient treatments as per protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in the management of complex neurological conditions.
• Participate in emergency response and critical stabilizing procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license (PA or compact) required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a trauma or critical care setting preferred.
• Cerner charting system experience required.
• Previous charge nurse experience is a plus.
