Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Hybrid ICU/PCU position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and AHA certifications.

Details

• Work in a Hybrid ICU/PCU unit within a hospital setting
• 13-week assignment on night shift (3x12 Hours, 18:30-7:00)
• 36/36 schedule with every other weekend (EOW) required
• No call requirements
• Floating required
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license, TN or Compact, required in-hand at time of submission
• Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, central line and PICC line management, and arterial line management
• Experience with ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP management, and ABG interpretation
• Experience managing continuous IV sedation, vasoactive drips, and cardiac drip titration
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Experience with IV insulin protocols
• First-time travelers accepted, though Level I trauma facility experience is preferred

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing across CVICU, MICU, SICU, and Trauma ICU settings
• Participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside clinical care duties
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online coursework, including approximately 4-5 hours of non-billable training modules
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility, with no local candidates accepted
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit testing guidelines
• Candidates must be available for drug testing within 12-14 calendar days prior to start, including a second test if needed
• Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without financial penalty due to census changes
