Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse ICU – Burbank, CA 91505

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Burbank, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Patient ratio 1:2. Every other weekend required (4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period). Float to similar units as needed to meet operational needs.

• 392-bed acute care hospital serving as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and STEMI receiving facility
• 38-bed ICU providing medical, cardiac, and neuro intensive care with advanced technologies including CRRT, IABP, Impella, and ECMO
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and more
• Free parking and flexible scrub color policy
• 13-week travel assignment (91 days) with guaranteed hours (facility may call off once per two-week pay period)
• 12-hour orientation with Meditech charting system

Requirements:

• Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Neuro ICU experience required – strong skills assessment scores (3s-4s) expected
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Experience with specialized equipment preferred: CRRT (Prismaflex or Prismax), IABP (Cardiosave by Getinge/Maquet), and Impella (Abiomed)
• Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, vasoactive drip titration, and post-neurosurgery management
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
• Clean background check required; no exceptions for background findings
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
