Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active NY RN license and 2 years of ICU experience.

Details

• Work in a Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Unit, including burn and thermoregulation cases
• Patient ratio of 2-3 patients per nurse
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Charge nurse experience highly preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Clinical skills required include IV therapy, arterial line management, central line and PICC line care, blood product administration, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and 12-lead EKG/ECG required
• Experience with continuous IV sedation, IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade, and IV insulin protocols required
• Proficiency in infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing services in a fast-paced ICU setting
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility for consideration
• Candidates who previously worked for this health system must have separated at least 6 months prior, system wide
• First-time travelers may be considered
• No more than 10 days of requested RTO permitted for consideration
