Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care to ICU boarders in the PACU unit. The primary patient population will be Trauma overflow, though prior trauma training is not required. The RN may also float to the Emergency Department for ICU holds or to other ICU and Stepdown units based on operational needs and patient census.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care under the direction of a licensed physician.
• Utilize nursing principles, theories, current methods, and techniques in daily practice.
• Collaborate with patients, their family members, and other healthcare professionals to deliver individualized patient care.
• Direct nursing support staff in providing patient care according to established standards and departmental policies.

Operating Hours

The unit operates from Monday at 7 AM to Saturday at 7 PM. The unit is closed on Sundays.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of one year of clinical experience in the relevant specialty area is preferred.
• Licenses: A valid PA Registered Nurse License is required.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification is required.
