**Join Our Incredible ICU Team – Nights** **Job Description:** - **Position Overview:** - Exciting opportunity as both a caregiver and care manager in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). - Take responsibility for a designated group of patients, implementing the Nursing Process with skill and compassion. - Lead and oversee a team of caregivers, ensuring top-notch patient care and outcomes. - **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct comprehensive assessments focusing on physiological, psychosocial, and cognitive status. - Implement care consistently per established policies, procedures, and care plans. - Identify patient learning needs and provide tailored education. - Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic records, adhering to regulatory standards. - Advocate for patient rights and maintain sensitivity to diverse backgrounds. - Delegate patient care activities effectively and supervise team members. - Prioritize tasks using sound critical thinking to enhance patient care. - May function as Charge Nurse, coordinating assignments and assisting with admissions and discharges. - Maintain professional growth through ongoing education and training. - Adhere to all safety requirements, including infection control and emergency protocols. - Comply with organizational policies and foster a positive team environment. - Uphold professionalism in appearance and conduct at all times. - **Work Environment:** - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare providers and patients, to ensure optimal care. - **Education & Experience:** - Graduated from an accredited nursing program. - Hold a current Washington State RN Licensure. - Healthcare Provider Level of BLS certification required within 30 days of hire. - Acute care nursing experience preferred, with a minimum of one year for specialty departments. - **Essential Skills:** - Proficient in nursing assessments, planning, and care implementation. - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to manage crises effectively with accountability. - Demonstrated competency caring for a diverse patient population. - Skilled in using medical equipment and technology. - **Physical Requirements:** - Ability to stand, walk, lift, reach, kneel, and perform various physical tasks. - Manual dexterity for handling equipment and tools. - Capability to respond to emergencies and provide CPR when necessary. - Good vision for accurate patient assessment and documentation. - Maintain emotional stability in a high-stress, fast-paced environment. - Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patients. - **ICU-Specific Requirements:** - Obtain ACLS certification within 6 months; PALS and TNCC certification within 12 months. - Complete moderate sedation training within 12 months. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
