ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients. The RN will be responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating patient care under the supervision of licensed physicians, using current nursing methods and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and implement individualized care plans for patients.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and modify care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to deliver patient-centered care.
• Direct nursing support staff in the provision of care, adhering to nursing standards and departmental policies.
• Float to various units including all ICUs, step-down units, IMCU, and ED for ICU holds/borders as needed.
• Participate in orientation for floating to different units, including Women’s and Family.
• Maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios, with a maximum ratio of 1:3.
• Remain available for potential mid-shift floating assignments to any unit or location.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required).
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred).
• Minimum two years of nursing experience with at least one year in an ICU setting (No new graduates).
• PA Registered Nurse License (Required).
• BLS - Basic Life Support certification (Required).
• ACLS certification (Required).
• NIHSS certification (Required).
• TNCC certification (Preferred).

Additional Information

This position requires flexibility with scheduling, including availability around holidays. Travelers will not work on holidays but are expected to be available for the days surrounding 1-2 holidays during their contract.

Registered Nurses should expect a maximum of five days of remote time off, with the possibility of extending the contract by an additional week if five consecutive days are taken.
