Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN)

As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients experiencing severe medical conditions. This role encompasses a variety of clinical responsibilities and requires specialized skills and knowledge to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' conditions, including vital signs and medical histories.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Treat wounds and administer advanced life support as needed.
• Assist physicians during medical procedures.
• Ensure functionality and proper adjustment of medical equipment, including ventilators and monitors.
• Administer intravenous fluids and medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure the best outcomes.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, adhering to established nursing protocols.
• Act as a patient advocate, providing education and support to patients and their families.
• Care for pre- and post-operative patients as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license valid in the relevant state or multi-state license.
• Two years of recent experience as a Critical Care RN in a hospital setting.
• Certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is preferred.
• Ability to provide care to pediatric and adolescent patients as needed.

Critical Care Registered Nurses may also have opportunities to serve in case management and policy-making roles as well as take on administrative responsibilities. Flexibility to float between multiple locations may be necessary based on patient census.
