Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, and ventilated patients.
• Administer blood products and emergency medications.
• Monitor and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and physical therapy.
• Ensure infection prevention and maintain isolation precautions as needed.
• Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion/removal and ECMO care.
• Perform titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips effectively.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
• Active PA or Compact RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Preferred experience with Cerner charting system.
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 2:1.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Experience in a community hospital setting is preferred.
