• Patient Ratio: Typically 1:2

• Setting: Adult ICU / Critical Care
• Location: Portland, OR 97213
• Floating: May be required based on unit needs
• Weekend Coverage: Required, approximately every other weekend

ICU Registered Nurse Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Minimum 1 year of professional nursing experience required
• Active RN license in hand; compact license accepted at submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and CCRN certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Must be comfortable caring for high-acuity adult critical care patients
• Strong experience with ventilated patients, vasoactive drips, arterial lines, and central line care preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support floating as needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult ICU patients with complex medical needs
• Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced critical care interventions
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Perform comprehensive assessments and document patient care accurately in Epic
• Care for patients with respiratory failure, CVA, multisystem organ dysfunction, and post-procedural critical care needs
• Support patients requiring ventilator management, arterial line monitoring, and central line care
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain a calm, professional presence in a high-acuity, fast-moving ICU environment
