Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and telemetry proficiency.

Details

• Work in a 38-bed (28+10) multi-specialty Intensive Care Unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts (PM shift) for 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Tele test administered on Day 1 of assignment

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of RN ICU experience required
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN, or BSN (BSN preferred)
• Telemetry experience required with ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities

Additional Information

• Deliver nursing care in the ICU including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
• Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team members, patients, and families
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Update and manage patient records, entering and interpreting computerized data
• Follow nursing department guidelines and policies
• Assist leadership with quality improvement projects as needed
• Supported by a collaborative and dedicated nursing team
• Candidates residing less than 50 miles from the facility are considered local
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
