Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a multi-specialty ICU position requiring MA licensure, telemetry proficiency, and prior ICU experience.

Details

  • Work in a 38-bed (28+10) multi-specialty ICU (CCU/SICU/MICU/NEURO/CT) within a hospital setting
  • 12-hour night shifts (36 hours per week)
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
  • May be required to float to Med/Surg as needed
  • Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a local rate

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN ICU experience in a multi-specialty ICU setting required
  • Nursing degree required: Diploma, ASN, or BSN (BSN preferred)
  • Telemetry experience required with ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
  • Must pass a telemetry test on day one of the assignment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills required
  • Basic computer proficiency required
  • Physical ability to meet job responsibilities required

Additional Information

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the ICU, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
  • Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team members, patients, and families
  • Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
  • Update and manage patient records, entering and interpreting computerized data
  • Follow established nursing department guidelines and policies
  • Assist leadership with quality improvement projects as needed
  • Work alongside a collaborative and dedicated nursing team
