ICU Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Experience caring for trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients required
• Trauma Level One experience required
• Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity critical care environment
• Competency test completion within 24 hours of submission

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to critically ill ICU patients
• Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in acuity using strong clinical judgment
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe, effective care plans
• Administer medications and treatments according to ICU protocols and best practices
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in Epic
• Support trauma, surgical, and neurological patient populations with attention to detail and urgency
• Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach while delivering compassionate critical care
