Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU position at a Level I Trauma Center in Albany, NY, requiring prior travel experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU/SICU) in an academic medical center setting
  • Patient population includes surgical, neurological, and trauma ICU patients
  • Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Rotating holiday coverage required
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required; must be issued by AHA or RQI
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU staff experience required, specifically with trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
  • Level I Trauma Center experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Valid US Social Security Number required
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal and religious exemptions are not accepted

Additional Information

  • A competency test must be completed within 24 hours of consideration; the test will be sent to the candidate's email
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
  • Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
  • No blocked scheduling
  • More than 3 call-outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
  • Travel pairs are not accepted for this position
  • First-time travelers will not be considered; previous travel experience is required
