Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU/Stepdown | Morristown Medical Center | Morristown, NJ 

 

Location: Morristown Medical Center – Morristown, NJ
 Unit: K3 Stepdown Unit (High Acuity SDU)
Start Date: August 17, 2026
 Contract: 13 Weeks
 Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
 Schedule: 3×12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week

 

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a High Acuity Stepdown Unit (SDU) at Morristown Medical Center. This is an excellent opportunity for an ICU RN looking to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

 

Requirements:

  • ✅ Active New Jersey RN License or Compact state license required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience (Required)
  • BLS (AHA) Certification
  • ACLS (AHA) Certification
  • ✅ Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and deliver individualized, evidence-based nursing care.
  • Monitor and manage critically ill patients in a high-acuity Stepdown Unit.
  • Administer medications and treatments while maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
