Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a high-acuity Step-Down/ICU position in New Jersey, requiring at least 1 year of ICU experience and an active NJ RN license.

Details

• High-acuity Step-Down Unit (SDU) in a hospital setting
• PM shift, 7p–7a, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
• On-call responsibilities are required
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license required (compact license not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, direct patient care, accurate nursing documentation, and patient and family education
• Adherence to National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and dual patient identification, is expected
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment at this facility
• First-time travelers are not mentioned as eligible — ICU experience is strictly required
