Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• ICU unit within a short-term acute care hospital
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to other units and sister facilities based on skill set required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic charting system used

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact must be in hand at submission)
• OR RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory failure care
• Experience with arterial line, central line, and PICC line management
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience managing dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction
• Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment

Additional Information

• Provide direct ICU-level care including hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and critical medication administration
• May float to sister facilities within the Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent network
• Additional incentive pay and mileage reimbursement offered for floating to Seaside facility
• Hotel accommodations provided if floating to Seaside for consecutive shifts
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer; limited flexibility post-offer
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travancer and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this assignment
• Scrub color requirement: any color accepted
