Description

American Traveler is hiring a Burns/Surgical ICU RN for a 13-week rotating assignment requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and a minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Burn ICU of a hospital caring for adult complex surgical patients including burns, as well as acutely ill medical patients (both SICU and MICU-type)
• Thermal burn patients currently make up a minority (less than 10%) of the unit's caseload
• Closed ICU model with a multispecialty care team including APPs as primary providers, supported by admitting surgical teams, consultants, residents, and 24/7 in-house attending ICU physicians
• 36 hours per week on a rotating day/night shift schedule
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required at time of consideration; no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• Both NURSYS and Board of Nursing verification required for nursing license
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing support within a closed ICU model alongside APPs, residents, and attending physicians
• Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from Boston, MA to qualify for standard travel rate
• RTO must be identified prior to consideration for the assignment
