ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift Details

This position requires night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a commitment of 36 hours per week and 24 hours guaranteed. Candidates must be willing to float to other units as needed, including Med Surge and Telemetry.

Weekend Requirements

Every other weekend is required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will possess strong clinical skills, be comfortable with floating to different units as necessary, and demonstrate proficiency in the use of EPIC software.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and monitoring in the Intensive Care Unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records of patient care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assume responsibility for the care of multiple patients and function effectively in a high-stress environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of ICU/CCU experience.
• At least 5 years of overall RN experience is required.
• EPIC experience is a must; please indicate proficiency in your profile.
• Travel nursing experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required.
• Must possess a valid nursing license in New York.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are required.
• Possession of a personal vehicle is mandatory.

Dress Code

Personal scrubs of any color are acceptable; however, designs or cartoons are not permitted. Hoodies are also not allowed.

Compliance Requirements

All candidates must provide the New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate upfront to be considered for this position. Additional compliance requirements, including a 14-panel drug screen, will be communicated during the application process.

Training

As of January 1, 2024, all staff members must complete onboarding training from approved organizations prior to commencement. Training in verbal de-escalation will be mandatory.
