Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU night shift position at a Level II Trauma acute care hospital, requiring 2 years of ICU experience and a CA RN license.

Details

  • Work in the ICU of an acute care hospital with 277 staffed beds
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 17:00 to 5:30
  • 26-week assignment length
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate/sister facilities
  • Facility may call off shifts once per two-week pay period
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
  • Level II Trauma experience required
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
  • Epic charting experience required
  • 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
  • Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Level II Trauma facility environment
  • Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
  • Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
  • Local candidates accepted, though a 50-mile radius rule applies
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • RTO must be submitted at the time of application
  • Royal blue or navy blue scrubs required for RNs
  • Free parking available on-site
