Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced MICU RN for a night-shift ICU position requiring 2+ years of continuous MICU experience and telemetry competency.

Details

• Level III Trauma Center, 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU
• Cares for adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• Attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours a day
• RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg units
• Floating required, mostly to Medical/Surgical units
• Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30), does not rotate
• Works EOW (every other weekend), 36 or 48 hours
• EPIC EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 2+ years of continuous Adult ICU experience required, preferably MICU
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• Telemetry competency required

• Provide direct patient care within a high-acuity ICU environment as part of a physician-supported care team
• Flu vaccine required during flu season, no religious or medical exemptions allowed

• Local candidates accepted if residing within 60 miles of Boston, at a reduced rate
