Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced MICU RN for a Level III Trauma Center night shift position requiring 2+ years of continuous MICU experience and telemetry competency.

Details

• Level III Trauma Center 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU (MICU)
• Cares for adult patients with diagnoses such as substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• Attendings and Residents present in the ICU 24 hours/day
• RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg units
• Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every other weekend required
• 36 or 48 hour weekly options available
• Floating required, primarily to Medical/Surgical units
• Uses EPIC EMR charting system
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 2+ years of continuous Adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
• Must be able to read telemetry strips and demonstrate telemetry competency
• Two professional references required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
