Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced MICU RN for a night shift and EOW position at a Level III Trauma Center requiring 2+ years of continuous MICU experience and telemetry competency.

Details

• 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU (MICU) within a Level III Trauma Center
• Attendings and Residents present in the ICU 24 hours/day
• Cares for adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients
• Floating required, mostly to Medical/Surgical units with ratios up to 1:4 or 1:5
• Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every-other-weekend requirement
• 36 or 48 hour contracts available
• EPIC EMR used for charting
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 2+ years of continuous Adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• Telemetry competency required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

• Provide direct patient care within a high-acuity ICU setting supported by 24/7 attending and resident coverage
• Facility is part of a 400+ bed complex community hospital system
• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston to be eligible for local candidate rate
