Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Unit. This role involves working in a fast-paced Med/Surg Observation Unit, which requires adaptability to rapidly changing patient acuity levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients in a 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit.
• Manage both lower and higher acuity patients, including trauma overflow beds and mid holds.
• Float to other areas of competency as required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Participate in holiday shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar specialty within an acute care setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred.
